Masters Nationals 2009

Getting back to the hotel and settling into my room, I basically crashed, when I laid my head on the pillow.Later that day was weigh-ins and photoshoots. Friday was preparation, spray-tanning, going over my poses, getting mentally prepared, and more photoshoots. Saturday was game day, early breakfast; sausage and waffle with butter and syrup, YUM!...... It was then off to the mandatory meeting and prejudging.

Back stage was a busy place as we waited for our individual classes to be called. Gerri made sure my suit was tied correctly, I didn't want to have any malfunction and a Janet Jackson moment. Dan was a great help with putting on our oil and running us through our poses. It was an inspiring morning and meeting the other athletes was such a memorable experience. Prejudging went well and as we were called out, I felt confident that I placed well. After getting something to eat there at the Sheraton it was back to my room to rest and get ready for the night show.

I took fourth that night and was very pleased that I hit my goal "to place in the top 5" at my first National level competition.Thank you Dan and Gerri for a memorable time. I know what I need to work on and you can bet that I will be back, bigger and better in 2010 at Master's Nationals.
